I. Aromatherapy Basic – (Module I & II)
o The concept of Aromatherapy - Aroma pathways; how and why it works
o Material Medica - Essential oils, their components & their therapeutic effect
o Profiles of important essential oils & their therapeutic properties
o How to choose & mix oils
o Carriers & carrier oils, Aromatherapy applications
o How to use Aromatherapy in daily life
o Aroma formulations technique
o Combinations for common ailments

II. Aromatherapy Formulations – (Module III & IV)
o Body assessment
o Essential oils for skin & hair care
o Base oils for oily skin / dry Skin
o Formulations for skin care
o Formulations for hair care
o Treating common health problems with Aromatherapy

In this fascinating seminar, students will have direct experience with all the essential oils covered as well as practice in identifying oils and mixing techniques.

Dr. Ravi Ratan is an internationally-renowned aromatherapist from Mumbai, India. Author of HANDBOOK OF AROMATHERAPY”and co author of JOURNEY THROUGH CHAKRAS, he conducts training seminars and workshops in India, USA, UK, Canada & the UAE. One of the pioneers of aromatherapy in India, Dr. Ratan comes from a lineage of healers and teachers, having achieved his Masters of Science, followed by D.Sc. He runs a Mind & Body Center at Mumbai along with his psycho-aromatherapist wife, Dr. Minoo Ratan and has done extensive clinical and research work using essential oils for health, healing and wellness, especially for stress management, healing of ulcers, wounds and sores, pain management, etc. His approach to aromatherapy combines ancient Ayurvedic wisdom with modern aromatherapy principles .Dr. Ratan is approved by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Body Work (NCBTMB) as a continuing education provider.
